Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfred Wewers started the match with the kick off. After having played for 8 minutes, Reinhold Eigen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Ringelheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinhold Eigen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th match minute, SV Ringelheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimar Duttenhöfer to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute of the match, Alfred Wewers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sascha Gehrig saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Holger Behrendt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tillmann Haug stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Georg Bauer's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Sascha Gehrig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Holger Behrendt in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, Kella's Bozo Plaggemeyer got a free kick in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Kella's goal looked a bit too open when Giacomo Mäncher came free, but Tillmann Haug reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to SV Ringelheim getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Raimar Duttenhöfer hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes Kella got a freekick which was hit by Nico Ostwald. Kai Riedel kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. When Holger Behrendt came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kella fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Holger Behrendt couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute, Ingmar Brütt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Reinhold Eigen made the kick off in the second half. Alfred Wewers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Reinhold Eigen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, Kella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Löhnert to maneuver through the defense. Felix Lutze charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Lutze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Reinhold Eigen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 79 played minutes SV Ringelheim got a freekick which was hit by Georg Bauer. A collision led to SV Ringelheim getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ingmar Brütt hit a great ball. Wolfgang Gutzeit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tillmann Haug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 100 minutes, Holger Behrendt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Holger Behrendt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SV Ringelheim were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
