Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andreas Homolka took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Rupert Nimako came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Tomsi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rupert Nimako couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, 1.FC Vorwärts's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Nimako came free, but Ole Fassbinder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1.FC Vorwärts's Otto Harzer has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute, Rupert Nimako got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Viktor Beimler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rupert Nimako's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ole Fassbinder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Andreas Homolka notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tomsi's Volker Räder. Volker Räder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Viktor Beimler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ole Fassbinder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rupert Nimako received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ole Fassbinder came out and tried to block the shot, but Rupert Nimako slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 25th minute. Ole Fassbinder was a little too slow when Viktor Beimler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Dirk Nester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in 1.FC Vorwärts's zone, Rupert Nimako stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ole Fassbinder came out of the goal and Rupert Nimako tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Rupert Nimako who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1.FC Vorwärts's Ole Fassbinder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arno Zerr's late challenge caught a Tomsi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arno Zerr helped the player get up and apologised. If Viktor Beimler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunnar Thumerer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ole Fassbinder. 1.FC Vorwärts's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Viktor Beimler put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ole Fassbinder. Ole Fassbinder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rupert Nimako in the 86th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Viktor Beimler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ole Fassbinder was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Volker Räder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Homolka, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a rather tough play, Tomsi's Gottfried Jochimsen got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ole Fassbinder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Beimler in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Nimako in the 96th minute of play forced 1.FC Vorwärts's goalkeeper Ole Fassbinder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
