When Berthold Fickert fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kirchbauna's protests and gave Berthold Fickert a yellow card for diving instead. Berthold Fickert hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Dustin Bakunin didn't quite understand what happened when in the 24 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Knoeringen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Dettinger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Heidrich Holzfuß to make the kick off.
