With his leg Benedikt Gehling managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when SG Aulendorf ll's Günter Karis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Steinhorst FSV's Benedikt Gehling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Steinhorst FSV from getting a goal against them. Günter Karis in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benedikt Gehling, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Otmar Kleinböck during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Steinhorst FSV's Otmar Kleinböck got a free kick in the 20th minute. Benjamin Kornrumpf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Uri Waack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, SG Aulendorf ll's Benedikt Gehling threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Günter Karis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Anton Steele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, SG Aulendorf ll's Anton Steele sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benedikt Gehling narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of SG Aulendorf ll booed when Steinhorst FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brix Dürr didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SG Aulendorf ll's zone, Benjamin Kornrumpf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uri Waack came out of the goal and Benjamin Kornrumpf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Günter Karis to make the kick off. If Erich Auerbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erich Auerbach in the 53rd minute of play forced SG Aulendorf ll's goalkeeper Uri Waack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Otmar Kleinböck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Günter Karis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedikt Gehling having to interfere. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Steinhorst FSV! The referee gave SG Aulendorf ll a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dustin Schwanholz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Steinhorst FSV's Benedikt Gehling. 1-0. If Benjamin Kornrumpf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erich Auerbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Anton Steele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedikt Gehling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uri Waack was a little too slow when Erich Auerbach got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günter Karis in the 75th minute of play forced Steinhorst FSV's goalkeeper Benedikt Gehling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 played minutes Steinhorst FSV got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Neubauer. 82 minutes into the match, Günter Karis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedikt Gehling. Steinhorst FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Günter Karis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. SG Aulendorf ll's Uri Waack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save SG Aulendorf ll from getting a goal against them. After 88 played minutes, SG Aulendorf ll's Dustin Schwanholz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benedikt Gehling came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SG Aulendorf ll reached it. Benjamin Kornrumpf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uri Waack made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Kornrumpf in the 97th minute.
