With a little luck, Hülkenbüll FSV's Jonny Kemmler got control of the ball when Kurt Reim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kurt Reim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Jonny Kemmler made a huge save. Kurt Reims short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Jonny Kemmler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kurt Reim got in the 25th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jonny Kemmler handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Bäuerle during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Köchingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Kalvelage was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kurt Reim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonny Kemmler having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johannes van Hinten to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonny Kemmler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Kalvelage in the 54th minute of play.
