If Dieter Blättgen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Rasenballsport Wodka 01's Benedikt Körth got control of the ball when Claus Gondro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Nikolaus Spranger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magenta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikolaus Spranger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dieter Blättgen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedikt Körth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolaus Spranger in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Nikolaus Spranger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedikt Körth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Marcel Koerlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claus Gondro might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedikt Körth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claus Gondro ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eberhard Krughöfer during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Magenta FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Eberhard Krughöfer hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nikolaus Spranger to make the kick off. Benedikt Körth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claus Gondro's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Benedikt Körth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikolaus Spranger, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Claus Gondro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedikt Körth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikolaus Spranger in the 58th minute of the match. Frank Hiller's late challenge caught a Rasenballsport Wodka 01's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Brede in the 71st minute of play forced Magenta FC's goalkeeper Ernst Trumpf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Nikolaus Spranger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot by Efraim Aden from long distance, 81 minutes into the match, got Ernst Trumpf's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Claus Gondro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Claus Gondro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rasenballsport Wodka 01's Benedikt Körth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolaus Spranger in the 89th minute of play. Benedikt Körth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolaus Spranger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedikt Körth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Gondro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
