Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christen Hatschek to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Fritz Werfel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Filzbuch's Torsten Mackensen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Filzbuch's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Rügner came free, but Torsten Mackensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torsten Mackensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fritz Werfel in the 55th minute of the match. Filzbuch's Torsten Mackensen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Werfel in the 57th minute of play.
