Alexander Kruber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apollo Jacobs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Kruber having to make a save. In the 13th match minute, FC Varste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Günther Busch to maneuver through the defense. When Orsfeld's Apollo Jacobs in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Varste's goalie prevented a goal. Alexander Kruber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hieronymus Labigne in the 21st minute of play. Ralph Discher hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Varste getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Günther Busch hit a great ball. FC Varste's Alexander Kruber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apollo Jacobs in the 25th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joseph Pache during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Orsfeld getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Joseph Pache hit a great ball. Alexander Kruber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Apollo Jacobs's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Alexander Kruber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernan Reinbold in the 34th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apollo Jacobs was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, one of FC Varste:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fortunatus Mehrwald walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorck Schaede in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Kruber saved FC Varste from getting behind. 58 minutes into the game, Orsfeld's Apollo Jacobs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Kruber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Hernan Reinbold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Apollo Jacobs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Kruber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Varste's goalkeeper Alexander Kruber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, FC Varste's goal looked a bit too open when Hieronymus Labigne came free, but Alexander Kruber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Kruber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apollo Jacobs in the 71st minute of play. When Hieronymus Labigne fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orsfeld's protests and gave Hieronymus Labigne a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apollo Jacobs in the 98th minute of play forced FC Varste's goalkeeper Alexander Kruber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orsfeld's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
