Alvesse's supporters rose to their feet, but Laslo Schwartau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tord Hüssler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alto Wilkendorf's late challenge caught a Oberndorf City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alto Wilkendorf helped the player get up and apologised. Ingolf Derow was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gerold Faller. 17 minutes into the match, Oberndorf City FC's Dennis Töpfer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingolf Derow narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sönke Härle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tord Hüssler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Oberndorf City FC got a freekick which was hit by Ingmar Buschmann. Tord Hüssler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laslo Schwartau in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sönke Härle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tord Hüssler was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Tord Hüssler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tobias Bäron made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Wojtek Dirkes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute, Alvesse's Sönke Härle ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tord Hüssler. Tord Hüssler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Ingolf Derow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Bäron in the 63rd minute of the match. Aldo Trommer hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Dennis Töpfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingolf Derow having to interfere. Laslo Schwartau's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Tord Hüssler skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Wojtek Dirkes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. If Laslo Schwartau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
