Michael Weise's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Bozkurt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Bonstorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coburg the free kick. The supporters of Coburg booed when Bonstorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Zanter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Quirin von Glass who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bonstorf's Fernando Bozkurt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Bonstorf's goal looked a bit too open when Quirin von Glass came free, but Fernando Bozkurt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Delron Mackscheidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Quirin von Glass stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Michael Weise who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Fernando Bozkurt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delron Mackscheidt in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davor Knoop saved Coburg from getting behind. Delron Mackscheidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Georges Bayer charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Georges Bayer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, the referee gave Coburg a penalty. Olav Aigner looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Fernando Bozkurt. In the 65th minute, Delron Mackscheidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Delron Mackscheidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes Coburg got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Jork. The Coburg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Coburg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
