Oliver Leopold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delron Mackscheidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Rainer Wiefelspütz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th match minute, Niederholsten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Wilmen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Niederholsten's Aaron Gehlhaar got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ernst Feuereisen struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Oliver Leopold didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bonstorf. After 64 played minutes Bonstorf got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Feuereisen. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Bonstorf:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Niederholsten:s goal. The supporters of Bonstorf booed when Niederholsten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Wilmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dirk Annilker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Bozkurt having to interfere. In the 88th minute Delron Mackscheidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Leopold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Bonstorf fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Bonstorf's Delron Mackscheidt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bonstorf fans cheered their team off the field, for while Niederholsten had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
