Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rolf Freemann got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Brenschede FC booed when ERZURUMSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gernot Laudi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, ERZURUMSPOR's Béla Onaran got control of the ball when Lucio Beck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Friedhold Mittrenga hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Simeon Adamek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karlheinz Gengelbach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Udo Bokan made a huge save. In the 67th match minute, ERZURUMSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernot Laudi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in ERZURUMSPOR's zone, Simeon Adamek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Béla Onaran came out of the goal and Simeon Adamek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Udo Bokan made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Karlheinz Gengelbach sent off a good shot on target. A very good chance. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brenschede FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Josef Schmelter was slow to take the kick. During this time ERZURUMSPOR's players had a chance to rest. ERZURUMSPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brenschede FC the free kick. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Brenschede FC. Berthold Langer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Béla Onaran. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brenschede FC had won after a very even match.
