FC Hofmühle's Nikolaos Philipp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hofmühle from getting a goal against them. Nikolaos Philipp made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Gerard Michelsen sent off a good shot on target. Gerard Michelsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolaos Philipp having to interfere. Gerard Michelsen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Nikolaos Philipp when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Selbitzer Jungs's zone, Reimo Boehme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konstantin Krughöfer came out of the goal and Reimo Boehme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Constantin Ernesti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolaos Philipp having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Selbitzer Jungs's Gerard Michelsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikolaos Philipp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gerard Michelsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Nikolaos Philipp made a huge save. Nikolaos Philipp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Michelsen in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Marco Stenz hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Gerard Michelsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
