Lester Freeh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klemens Kammer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Klemens Kammer made a precise shot to the right of Lester Freeh. Husen-Kurl's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Husen-Kurl's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Kossendey came free, but Lester Freeh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lester Freeh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klemens Kammer in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klemens Kammer in the 25th minute of play forced Husen-Kurl's goalkeeper Lester Freeh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Husen-Kurl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoph Bauer to maneuver through the defense. Fritz Rudolf Conrad hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willibald Bannert got free with Henning Wächter in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Klemens Kammer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 51stth minute of the game Nicolai Fritz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kreßbach 2016's Henning Wächter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klemens Kammer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 79th minute Nicolai Fritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Wächter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christoph Rix struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Lester Freeh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kreßbach 2016. Lester Freeh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klemens Kammer in the 85th minute of play. Andrew Kossendey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lester Freeh having to make a save. Klemens Kammer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Kreßbach 2016's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Andrew Kossendey who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Lester Freeh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kreßbach 2016 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
