Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Merten Boxberger started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Theodor Blask kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Tommaso Hörnes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arik Beloch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Eintracht Emden's Dan Degdau got control of the ball when Helmut Schindler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Merten Boxberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tommaso Hörnes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Arik Beloch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommaso Hörnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Björn Riester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the match, Merten Boxberger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommaso Hörnes. 1.SSV Heimelf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Merten Boxberger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 30 minutes, Sebastian Lausen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eintracht Emden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Lausen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Eintracht Emden defense, Engelbert Beckmeyer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dan Degdau. The Eintracht Emden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dan Degdau should have stopped the shot. After 38 minutes, Ryan Pützmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eintracht Emden and the 1.SSV Heimelf players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ryan Pützmann kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Merten Boxberger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommaso Hörnes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Helmut Schindler to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Eintracht Emden's goal looked a bit too open when Helmut Schindler came free, but Dan Degdau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Engelbert Beckmeyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eintracht Emden's goalkeeper Dan Degdau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommaso Hörnes was a little too slow when Merten Boxberger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 1-3. After a rather tough play, Eintracht Emden's Manfred Plücken got a free kick in the 94th minute. Dan Degdau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helmut Schindler, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Chants of Eintracht Emden echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as 1.SSV Heimelf had held the ball for most of the match.
