Mathieu Ansieg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolai Fritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathieu Ansieg having to interfere. Mathieu Ansieg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willibald Bannert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joshua Boden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Nankatsu's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolai Fritz came free, but Mathieu Ansieg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luis Erdmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Erdmann in the 33rd minute of play forced Husen-Kurl's goalkeeper Lester Freeh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joshua Boden got free with Lester Freeh in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolai Fritz made a kick off. Lester Freeh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Erdmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Nicolai Fritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicolai Fritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lester Freeh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Boden, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Friedrich Schreier kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Luis Erdmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lester Freeh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Erdmann ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute, Willibald Bannert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathieu Ansieg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Friedrich Schreier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Lester Freeh came out of the goal and Luis Erdmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Husen-Kurl eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
