Erdal Wilhelmi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Schalke 04. Arne Danielzick charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arne Danielzick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, FC Schalke 04 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Danielzick to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arne Danielzick got free with Erdal Wilhelmi in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 27 played minutes FC Schalke 04 got a freekick which was hit by Theodor Storm. 30 minutes into the game, Julius Drube recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erdal Wilhelmi. Julius Drube showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Erdal Wilhelmi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julius Drube in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Tobias Schumann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When FC Schalke 04's Julius Drube in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julius Drube made a kick off. Erdal Wilhelmi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Danielzick in the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Leandros Beckhaus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kickers Armsen's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandros Beckhaus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Husser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erdal Wilhelmi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Danielzick in the 60th minute of play. FC Schalke 04's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Mark Grüner scored to the left of an out of position Roland Husser, making the score, 2-1. After some careless play in the Kickers Armsen defense, Arne Danielzick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erdal Wilhelmi. The Kickers Armsen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erdal Wilhelmi should have stopped the shot. After 75 minutes of play, FC Schalke 04's Julius Drube made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erdal Wilhelmi was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Danielzick in the 78th minute of play forced Kickers Armsen's goalkeeper Erdal Wilhelmi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kickers Armsen's Erdal Wilhelmi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Danielzick in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, FC Schalke 04's Julius Drube sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erdal Wilhelmi narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
