After having played for 27 minutes, Anselm Brenner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VfB Stuttgart's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselm Brenner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Eduard Heim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Takeshi Lank let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 30th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. With a little luck, Kickers Armsen's Erdal Wilhelmi got control of the ball when Takeshi Lank tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erdal Wilhelmi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takeshi Lank, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Grüner in the 40th minute of play forced VfB Stuttgart's goalkeeper Edmund Kugler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Leandros Beckhaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Takeshi Lank to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Kickers Armsen's goal looked a bit too open when Takeshi Lank came free, but Erdal Wilhelmi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kickers Armsen's zone, Anselm Brenner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erdal Wilhelmi came out of the goal and Anselm Brenner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Takeshi Lank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Takeshi Lank managed to get in a good position for a shot. VfB Stuttgart's supporters rose to their feet, but Takeshi Lank was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kickers Armsen's Erdal Wilhelmi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takeshi Lank in the 79th minute of play. Edmund Kugler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leandros Beckhaus went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score.
