With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilbert Rabiega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leo Koller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilbert Rabiega stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arne Meyer's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 16th match minute, Laim United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrich Dohnanyi to maneuver through the defense. If Lutger von der Beck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Meyer in the 18th minute of play forced Laim United's goalkeeper Hilbert Rabiega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Laim United getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Konstantin Papaspyratos hit a great ball. Lutger von der Beck struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Hilbert Rabiega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brehna. Johannes-Markus Howeg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilbert Rabiega having to interfere. When Christoph Frischmuth came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Laim United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoph Frischmuth couldn't finish the play. Magnus Joneschat charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magnus Joneschat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Laim United's Magnus Joneschat got a free kick in the 29th minute. The audience was convinced that Arne Meyer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilbert Rabiega was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Lutger von der Beck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Arne Meyer put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hilbert Rabiega. After 59 played minutes Brehna got a freekick which was hit by Arne Meyer. 61 minutes into the game, Arne Meyer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hilbert Rabiega. Arne Meyer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After having played for 66 minutes, Lutger von der Beck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brehna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lutger von der Beck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hilbert Rabiega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Laim United's Hilbert Rabiega got control of the ball when Lutger von der Beck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Lutger von der Beck made a precise shot to the right of Hilbert Rabiega. Laim United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 95thth minute of the game Arne Meyer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laim United's Hilbert Rabiega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Laim United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brehna were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
