After having played for 8 minutes, Waldo Fenten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SPVGG FFM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldo Fenten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesper Rabanus hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. When Uwe Hofmann, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 13 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mayk Gennburg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. SPVGG FFM's Uwe Hofmann got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 28 in the game by Uwe Hofmann from a close distance when the talented Mayk Gennburg managed to make a qualified save. AC Frövel's players were relieved. 30 minutes into the match, AC Frövel's goal looked a bit too open when Waldo Fenten came free, but Mayk Gennburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mayk Gennburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldo Fenten in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of AC Frövel booed when SPVGG FFM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Wölfle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Casimir Opitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achim Scheufens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uwe Hofmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Mayk Gennburg made a huge save. Uwe Hofmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Achim Scheufens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimir Opitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SPVGG FFM getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Uwe Jaura hit a great ball. Mayk Gennburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Hofmann in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uwe Hofmann in the 64th minute of play forced AC Frövel's goalkeeper Mayk Gennburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AC Frövel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jesper Rabanus's late challenge caught a SPVGG FFM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesper Rabanus helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in AC Frövel fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! SPVGG FFM's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
