After having played for 21 minutes, Casimir Opitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Frövel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimir Opitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Eduard Werner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brehna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Frövel the free kick. Jesper Rabanus, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sven Fechter made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Kostja Güven sent off a good shot on target. Lutger von der Beck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Martin Birke missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 60 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Mayk Gennburg right hand side. 63 minutes into the match, AC Frövel's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Meyer came free, but Mayk Gennburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brehna's Sven Fechter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimir Opitz in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Brehna's Lutger von der Beck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mayk Gennburg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 72 minutes, Martin Birke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brehna and the AC Frövel players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Brehna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Birke to maneuver through the defense. If Kostja Güven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brehna players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AC Frövel.
