In the 13th minute, Simon Nötzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Menno Auchter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Dutzmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Nievelitz FSV's Joseph Dutzmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Menno Auchter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Joseph Dutzmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menno Auchter having to interfere. A collision led to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Chris Scheuermann hit a great ball. Georg Hierlinger made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Connor Werres sent off a good shot on target. If Connor Werres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's Menno Auchter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Nötzel in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joseph Dutzmann in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Menno Auchter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hubert Fromme during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim booed when Nievelitz FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joseph Dutzmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joseph Dutzmann received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Menno Auchter came out and tried to block the shot, but Joseph Dutzmann slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 51st minute. Hubert Fromme hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Simon Nötzel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Joseph Dutzmann 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Simon Nötzel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menno Auchter having to interfere. Joseph Dutzmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nievelitz FSV:s goal. The goalkeeper, Menno Auchter, was totally fooled by Nievelitz FSV's Didi Adelfinger, who 69 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 82 minutes into the match, Simon Nötzel notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's Menno Auchter. Menno Auchter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nievelitz FSV's goalkeeper Georg Hierlinger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Menno Auchter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Dutzmann in the 89th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joseph Dutzmann in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Menno Auchter saved TSG 1899 Hoffenheim from getting behind. Simon Nötzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
