Richard Hourani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Menno Auchter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's Menno Auchter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeus Amstutz in the 14th minute of play. With his leg Menno Auchter managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Panda FC's Richard Hourani fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olaf Toprak during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Richard Hourani came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Panda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Hourani couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd match minute, Panda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Hourani to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Philip Schröck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Schattschneider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adi Krutten might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Menno Auchter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Menno Auchter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeus Amstutz's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Panda FC's Amadeus Amstutz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Menno Auchter in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jannik Struck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menno Auchter having to interfere. When Richard Hourani came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Panda FC fans jumped to their feet. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The crowd rose to their feet as Philip Schröck kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leon Schattschneider. That made the score 1-1 in the 51 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Panda FC's Julius Annen got a free kick in the 58th minute. Philip Schröck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Leon Schattschneider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Olaf Toprak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Schattschneider came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's Connor Werres. But to his dismay, Connor Werres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Harald Knoke fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 86thth minute of the game Richard Hourani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's Menno Auchter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 90 minutes of play, Panda FC's Amadeus Amstutz made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Menno Auchter was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute Philip Schröck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Schattschneider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panda FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to leave the ground with a draw.
