When Adrian Nützel fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lengerich 23's protests and gave Adrian Nützel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, FC Lengerich 23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Nützel to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Eduard Angerer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wolfram Zellier skillfully saved the ball. Wolfram Zellier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedikt Röbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wolfram Zellier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heribert Knapp in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Parensen FC's Fredi Wallner got a free kick in the 10th minute. FC Lengerich 23's Ferdinand Bechmann couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Parensen FC. Wolfgang Hölderlin struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Hartwin Nazaradeh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Lengerich 23. 17 minutes into the match, FC Lengerich 23's goal looked a bit too open when Heribert Knapp came free, but Wolfram Zellier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, FC Lengerich 23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Nützel to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, FC Lengerich 23's Guntram Janker got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Wolfram Zellier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heribert Knapp, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Wolfram Zellier came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Parensen FC's Heribert Knapp. But to his dismay, Heribert Knapp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 33rd minute Heribert Knapp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfram Zellier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guntram Janker during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Manfred Hertz could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Hartwin Nazaradeh however easily saved by the left post. 41 minutes into the match, Benedikt Röbert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wolfram Zellier. FC Lengerich 23's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benedikt Röbert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 45th minute Benedikt Röbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfram Zellier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Heribert Knapp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wolfram Zellier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Parensen FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 57th minute of the game, when Eduard Angerer after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of FC Lengerich 23's goal. Eduard Angerer was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. FC Lengerich 23's Wolfram Zellier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save FC Lengerich 23 from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute, Manfred Hertz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Lengerich 23 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After having played for 69 minutes, Heribert Knapp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parensen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heribert Knapp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 70 minutes, Gernot Hofstee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parensen FC and the FC Lengerich 23 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Parensen FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gernot Hofstee hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wolfgang Hölderlin in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hartwin Nazaradeh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wolfgang Hölderlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hartwin Nazaradeh having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedikt Röbert in the 88th minute of play forced FC Lengerich 23's goalkeeper Wolfram Zellier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Lengerich 23's Wolfram Zellier got control of the ball when Heribert Knapp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wolfram Zellier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Heribert Knapp went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Parensen FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
