The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Götz Laipple to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Götz Laipple who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Güstelitz FSV's Durs Tritz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wladimir Polster could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Durs Tritz made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Eric Huber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Herberhausen FSV eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
