Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Drei Linden's Ralph Röber started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ralph Röber who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Mark Cremer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ralph Röbers short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Mark Cremer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Patrick Oliver Hussen fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Herberhausen FSV's protests and gave Patrick Oliver Hussen a yellow card for diving instead. Götz Laipple hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Ralph Röber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wladimir Polster struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mike Petersik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herberhausen FSV. Götz Laipple fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Petersik having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wladimir Polster in the 22nd minute of play forced Drei Linden's goalkeeper Mike Petersik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Ralph Röber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ralph Röber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Mark Cremer made a huge save. Wladimir Polster struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Mike Petersik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herberhausen FSV. If Götz Laipple had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralph Röber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mark Cremer having to make a save. After having played for 35 minutes, Wladimir Polster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herberhausen FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wladimir Polster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mike Petersik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Götz Laipple in the 38th minute of play. Drei Linden's Mike Petersik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wladimir Polster in the 41st minute of play. Mike Petersik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Götz Laipple, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mike Petersik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miklos Amsler, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Götz Laipple scored 0-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Petersik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Götz Laipple was the one to do the kick off. Wladimir Polsters short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Mike Petersik to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wladimir Polster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mike Petersik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Mike Petersik didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Mark Cremer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ralph Röber's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miklos Amsler got free with Mike Petersik in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Patrick Oliver Hussen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mike Petersik. Drei Linden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrick Oliver Hussen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Götz Laipple in the 78th minute of play forced Drei Linden's goalkeeper Mike Petersik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drei Linden's Mike Petersik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Drei Linden from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the match, Drei Linden's goal looked a bit too open when Götz Laipple came free, but Mike Petersik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Herberhausen FSV's Patrick Oliver Hussen got a free kick in the 85th minute. Mike Petersik made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Miklos Amsler sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Drei Linden's goalkeeper Mike Petersik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wladimir Polster. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralph Röber in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Cremer saved Herberhausen FSV from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Herberhausen FSV eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
