Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 8 minutes into the match, Josef Trachsel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hesselte's Abdelaziz Sanio. Abdelaziz Sanio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute Wim Winkler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Gelb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Wim Winkler made a precise shot to the right of Eugen Gelb. Karlsruher SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, Hesselte's goal looked a bit too open when Conni Tetzner came free, but Abdelaziz Sanio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdelaziz Sanio came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Karlsruher SC's Conni Tetzner. But to his dismay, Conni Tetzner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 47 minutes into the match, Conni Tetzner notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Hesselte's Abdelaziz Sanio. Abdelaziz Sanio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conni Tetzner to make the kick off. Abdelaziz Sanio was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Conni Tetzner capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Conni Tetzner really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Karlsruher SC's Eugen Gelb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepe Friedrich in the 58th minute of play. Josef Trachsel's late challenge caught a Hesselte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josef Trachsel helped the player get up and apologised. Holger Wohlert might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abdelaziz Sanio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Holger Wohlert ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 68th minute, Josef Trachsel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdelaziz Sanio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Josef Trachsel came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Abdelaziz Sanio could save by the left post. In the 73rd minute Holger Wohlert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz Sanio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Winkler scored 2-7 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugen Gelb, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute Conni Tetzner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz Sanio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute Holger Wohlert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelaziz Sanio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Schöpf hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, Karlsruher SC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Winkler came free, but Eugen Gelb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Hesselte fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Karlsruher SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
