Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Claus Wassermann got the match started through his kick off. Conni Tetzner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Georg Tippenhauer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Conni Tetzner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Karlsruher SC's Josef Trachsel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georg Tippenhauer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Michael Kant's late challenge caught a Lierenfeld FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Kant helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, one of Karlsruher SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Karlsruher SC. 19 minutes into the match, Arnold Geldreich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugen Gelb. Karlsruher SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnold Geldreich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 21st match minute, Lierenfeld FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claus Wassermann to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Karlsruher SC's Conni Tetzner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Georg Tippenhauer. Georg Tippenhauer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Conni Tetzner charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conni Tetzner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claus Wassermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugen Gelb stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnold Geldreich's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After 36 minutes, Arnold Geldreich made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Karlsruher SC's Eugen Gelb tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Claus Wassermann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugen Gelb. Karlsruher SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claus Wassermann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Holger Wohlert's late challenge caught a Lierenfeld FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Holger Wohlert helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

The wind increased when Conni Tetzner made the kick off in the second half. When Daniel Noce came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Lierenfeld FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Noce couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Karlsruher SC booed when Lierenfeld FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralf Eckardt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conni Tetzner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Josef Trachsel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georg Tippenhauer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. In the 59th match minute, Lierenfeld FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Noce to maneuver through the defense. If Conni Tetzner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georg Tippenhauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Trachsel, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Eugen Gelb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Wassermann in the 70th minute of the match. Josef Trachsel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Tippenhauer having to interfere. Conni Tetzner hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Georg Tippenhauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conni Tetzner in the 75th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Arnold Geldreich notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of Karlsruher SC's Eugen Gelb. Eugen Gelb was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eugen Gelb didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 3-6. In the 92nd match minute, Karlsruher SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heinz-Gerd Horsmann to maneuver through the defense. The Karlsruher SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lierenfeld FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Lierenfeld FC.
