Lierenfeld FC's Arnold Geldreich got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claus Wassermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Stefan Daumann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Esens's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Wassermann came free, but Adam Reichwein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Claus Wassermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnold Geldreich who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Adam Reichwein when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Claus Wassermann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gordon Schipploch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnold Geldreich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Adam Reichwein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Claus Wassermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Reichwein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Reichwein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Wassermann in the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Lierenfeld FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julius Kamp to maneuver through the defense. Gordon Schipploch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gordon Schipploch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Tippenhauer having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gordon Schipploch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerd Meister during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Lierenfeld FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerd Meister. Georg Tippenhauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Schipploch in the 54th minute of play. Egon Hochhaus hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Arnold Geldreich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Reichwein having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Geldreich in the 63rd minute of play forced Esens's goalkeeper Adam Reichwein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Egon Hochhaus fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esens's protests and gave Egon Hochhaus a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Esens's Egon Hochhaus got a free kick in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Lierenfeld FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Schipploch came free, but Georg Tippenhauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Claus Wassermann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Reichwein was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Claus Wassermann struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Adam Reichwein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lierenfeld FC. The supporters of Lierenfeld FC booed when Esens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Daumann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rachid Kilz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 79th playminute. Georg Tippenhauer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gordon Schipploch's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Claus Wassermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Adam Reichwein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gordon Schipploch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Tippenhauer having to interfere. In the 89th minute Arnold Geldreich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Reichwein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnold Geldreich took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Reichwein. Adam Reichwein dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Rachid Kilz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
