Spectators: 5500 (Terracing: 4250, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wim Winkler started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Hesselte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kornelius Ungerechts to maneuver through the defense. VolleFrischeBreitseite's Ronny Schikorra got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Pepe Friedrich ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sören Röcker was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Abdelaziz Sanio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopold Reineke in the 18th minute of play. In the 28th minute, one of Hesselte:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hesselte. When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, VolleFrischeBreitseite's Ronny Schikorra got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Abdelaziz Sanio. After 33 minutes of play, VolleFrischeBreitseite's Fredi Redda made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdelaziz Sanio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hesselte's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leopold Reineke 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredi Redda made a kick off. Benedetto Presch hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredi Redda in the 77th minute of play forced Hesselte's goalkeeper Abdelaziz Sanio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of VolleFrischeBreitseite booed when Hesselte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Irion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronny Schikorra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdelaziz Sanio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Pepe Friedrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sören Röcker having to interfere.
