In the 10th minute Anselm Maier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Wagner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Marc-Stephan Burger managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1 FC SPICH's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc-Stephan Burger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Holle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes in the game, Hein Belz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Helmuth Wagner having to interfere. Anselm Maier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmuth Wagner having to interfere. Marc-Stephan Burger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Albert Holle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselm Maier was the one to do the kick off. Helmuth Wagner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselm Maier in the 64th minute of the match. Borussia Dortmund's Albert Holle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannik Thieme in the 69th minute of play. Borussia Dortmund's Hein Belz got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albert Holle was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Yannik Thieme capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yannik Thieme really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Charly Feige charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charly Feige the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84thth minute of the game Anselm Maier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1 FC SPICH's Helmuth Wagner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yannik Thieme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albert Holle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yannik Thieme, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Anselm Maier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmuth Wagner having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 1 FC SPICH eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
