Eppo Loos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Bensch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yussuf Zampos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melle's Dietrich Voss suffered a sore thigh after 12 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Khalid Kitzberger's late challenge caught a Melle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Khalid Kitzberger helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Königsblau Schalke's Mosche Luther got a free kick in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Thorsten Bürsch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konrad Thaler was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. If Yussuf Zampos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yussuf Zampos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eppo Loos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Königsblau Schalke's goalkeeper Eppo Loos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 42 minutes, Ferdinand Bensch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinand Bensch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viktor Liebich made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Melle's goalkeeper Konrad Thaler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thorsten Bürsch. 53 minutes into the match, Melle's Ferdinand Bensch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eppo Loos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yussuf Zampos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eppo Loos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Königsblau Schalke's zone, Yussuf Zampos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eppo Loos came out of the goal and Yussuf Zampos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brian Zichmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eppo Loos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Zichmann in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Königsblau Schalke's goal looked a bit too open when Yussuf Zampos came free, but Eppo Loos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Samir Engbertz came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Melle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samir Engbertz couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the game, Thorsten Bürsch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Königsblau Schalke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melle the free kick. Thorsten Bürsch hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Mosche Luther kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Pal Jager was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 76th match minute, Königsblau Schalke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Rieden to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Königsblau Schalke getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Abdul Kleemann hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Melle's Yussuf Zampos got a free kick in the 85th minute. Viktor Liebich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Yussuf Zampos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Born sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Melle had played much better football throughout.
