Lennert Pitterle kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Yannik Thieme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Henrik Langbein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Kilic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrik Langbein showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Henrik Langbein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yannik Thieme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Marc-Stephan Burger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrik Langbein. Mittersberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marc-Stephan Burger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
