If Benni Sorg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lilianvenn's Sebastian Marquardt suffered a sore thigh after 9 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karsten Schertz during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Bankholzen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karsten Schertz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lilianvenn's zone, Henriko Vollack stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Locke came out of the goal and Henriko Vollack tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lilianvenn's Martin Locke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Lilianvenn from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, Lilianvenn's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Ludwig came free, but Martin Locke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Lilianvenn's Martin Locke got control of the ball when Henriko Vollack tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henriko Vollack got free with Martin Locke in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ralf Heiß showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benni Sorg in the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bankholzen's Mark Galeski got a free kick in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lilianvenn's zone, Mathias Ludwig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Locke came out of the goal and Mathias Ludwig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mika Karhoff hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th play minute Henriko Vollack came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Martin Locke. 1-0. Gordon Fischer charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gordon Fischer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathias Ludwig to strike the kick off in the second half. If Henriko Vollack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute Mathias Ludwig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Locke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Henriko Vollack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lilianvenn getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Mika Karhoff hit a great ball. Mathias Ludwig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Locke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Henriko Vollack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Locke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henriko Vollack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Locke having to interfere. Martin Locke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henriko Vollack in the 96th minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Lilianvenn's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Ludwig came free, but Martin Locke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bankholzen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
