Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pavel Hein got the match started through his kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Niederleuken:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Karlsruhe FC:s goal. Wenzel Balter placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Siegfried Hegekötter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Dominik Effertz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Niederleuken's Hansel Vortkamp threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pavel Hein, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pavel Hein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominik Effertz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heini Glomb, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of Karlsruhe FC booed when Niederleuken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kornelius Schöpper didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Siegfried Hegekötter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dominik Effertz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Siegfried Hegekötter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Niederleuken got a freekick which was hit by Kornelius Schöpper. In the 33rdth minute of the game Pavel Hein who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karlsruhe FC's Hansel Vortkamp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 43 minutes of play, Niederleuken's Gustel Bublitz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hansel Vortkamp was left in no man's land by his defense there! Siegfried Hegekötter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dominik Effertz having to make a save. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Niederleuken's goalkeeper Dominik Effertz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heini Glomb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Siegfried Hegekötter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karlsruhe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siegfried Hegekötter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Heini Glomb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik Effertz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heini Glomb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Niederleuken's goalkeeper Dominik Effertz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siegfried Hegekötter. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heini Glomb in the 69th minute of play forced Niederleuken's goalkeeper Dominik Effertz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siegfried Hegekötter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Effertz having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Niederleuken's Gustel Bublitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hansel Vortkamp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Gustel Bublitz came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Niederleuken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustel Bublitz couldn't finish the play. Karlsruhe FC's Wenzel Balter shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dominik Effertz but with some difficulty.
