Roger Rüeck ran back to his position shaking his head. Rasmus Achenbach kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Tom Pfau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sascha Pförtner in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of Borussia Polonia booed when Ergeten FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hanns Huber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Marcel Throm made a precise shot to the right of Fabian Wolfsbach. Ergeten FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ergeten FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sascha Pförtner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sascha Pförtner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Pfau having to make a save. Tom Pfau made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Sascha Pförtner sent off a good shot on target. Christopher Johannsen charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
