Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Helmut Fuchs took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gilles Reitgaßl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wayne Schlagbauer having to interfere. A collision led to 1 FC Kaiserslautern getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Joseph Petsch hit a great ball. In the 6th minute of the match Oleg Hemmerlein sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lev Kuhr skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Ballstedt's Helmut Fuchs got a free kick in the 7th minute. Jacek Wesseler took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wayne Schlagbauer. Wayne Schlagbauer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franz Gravius during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Ballstedt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franz Gravius to maneuver through the defense. When Pascal Silen came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the 1 FC Kaiserslautern fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascal Silen couldn't finish the play. Oleg Hemmerlein's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lev Kuhr firmly grabbed it by the left post. Wayne Schlagbauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilles Reitgaßl in the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Ballstedt's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Silen came free, but Wayne Schlagbauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ballstedt's Wayne Schlagbauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilles Reitgaßl in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Gilles Reitgaßl notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ballstedt's Wayne Schlagbauer. Wayne Schlagbauer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lev Kuhr was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Helmut Fuchs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 24 minute of play. In the 28th minute Gilles Reitgaßl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wayne Schlagbauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jacek Wesseler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascal Silen in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wayne Schlagbauer saved Ballstedt from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Pascal Silen managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1 FC Kaiserslautern's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascal Silen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wayne Schlagbauer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ballstedt getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Thomas Ballheim hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes Ballstedt got a freekick which was hit by Oleg Hemmerlein. Pascal Silen kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Pascal Silen made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ballstedt's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Silen came free, but Wayne Schlagbauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 1 FC Kaiserslautern eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
