In a very dangerous position, a player in Commerden fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! The supporters of Gel Hele booed when Commerden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thorben Boschmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Commerden:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gel Hele:s goal. The referee gave Gel Hele a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Artur Kneuer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Commerden's Kalle Bierkamp. 2-0. In the 38th match minute, Gel Hele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernot Aydin to maneuver through the defense. Kalle Bierkamp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernot Aydin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Wilhelm Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lothar Rauhaus was the one to do the kick off. Wilhelm Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Bierkamp having to interfere. In the 54th minute Matthias Louven suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 54 minutes into the game, Josef Mieth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Commerden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gel Hele the free kick. Josef Mieth hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Ahmed Schmidtmann's late challenge caught a Commerden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmed Schmidtmann helped the player get up and apologised. Rico Rogosch kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Artur Kneuer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Commerden's Kalle Bierkamp didn't even have to move. Ahmed Schmidtmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Gel Hele's goalkeeper Christopher Hoppenstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lothar Rauhaus. After a defensive mix-up in Commerden's zone, Ahmed Schmidtmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalle Bierkamp came out of the goal and Ahmed Schmidtmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th match minute, Gel Hele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernot Aydin to maneuver through the defense. Lothar Rauhaus struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Christopher Hoppenstedt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Commerden. After a defensive mix-up in Gel Hele's zone, Lothar Rauhaus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Hoppenstedt came out of the goal and Lothar Rauhaus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Rico Rogosch came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Commerden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rico Rogosch couldn't finish the play. If Ahmed Schmidtmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmed Schmidtmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gel Hele fans cheered their team off the field, for while Commerden had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
