Alois Wirtz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gennaro Wiesemann having to interfere. A hard shot by Gerold Karis from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Eberhard Fritzenwanker's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alois Wirtz in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gennaro Wiesemann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Linus Böwering sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raiko Bouffier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eberhard Fritzenwanker having to interfere. Fabian Eller kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to BSC Young Boys getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Gerrit Böhm hit a great ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alois Wirtz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Linus Böwering had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gennaro Wiesemann. Gittelde FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Linus Böwering was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gennaro Wiesemann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alois Wirtz in the 57th minute of play. Gerold Karis's late challenge caught a BSC Young Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerold Karis helped the player get up and apologised. BSC Young Boys's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 63rd minute of the game, when Michael Betz after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Gittelde FSV's goal. Michael Betz was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Raiko Bouffier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eberhard Fritzenwanker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Eberhard Fritzenwanker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Ellinghaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Raiko Bouffier made a precise shot to the right of Eberhard Fritzenwanker. BSC Young Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 76th minute, Alois Wirtz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gennaro Wiesemann was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Etienne Behnisch hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, BSC Young Boys's Alois Wirtz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gennaro Wiesemann narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
