Holsener SV's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Roque Lösch scored to the left of an out of position Ture Seligmann, making the score, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Roque Lösch got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Bernd Winzen made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Stefan Laier got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 58 minutes, Roque Lösch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Barcelona and the Holsener SV players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hanno Toppel couldn't finish the play. Ferdinand Bürklen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedikt Lötzer in the 81st minute of the match. One of Holsener SV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Barcelona:s goal. Carl Christe placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! FC Barcelona's Ferdinand Bürklen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save FC Barcelona from getting a goal against them. Leif Korff hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's Carl Christe broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
