Ferdinand Bürklen came out of the goal and Theodor Behnke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hanno Toppel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Theodor Behnke came free, but Ferdinand Bürklen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Hansjörg Kala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Storp's supporters rose to their feet, but Hansjörg Kala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harold Gelb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hanno Toppel in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute Roque Lösch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harold Gelb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mischa Lange fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Storp's protests and gave Mischa Lange a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave FC Barcelona a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carl Christe, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Storp's Harold Gelb. 1-2. Ferdinand Bürklen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hansjörg Kala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hanno Toppel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harold Gelb having to interfere. The Storp players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
