Heiko Schmiederkal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moritz Gleicke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Schmiederkal having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Moritz Gleicke made the kick off in the second half. Frank Krughöfer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delron Deters in the 52nd minute.
