When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otto Steffel made a kick off. Jakob Goebel in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Patrick Kornmeier, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 53 minutes into the match, FC Hamburg's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Butzer came free, but Wilhelm Küpper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakob Goebel in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Kornmeier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Otto Steffel might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilhelm Küpper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otto Steffel ran back to his position shaking his head. Patrick Kornmeier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jakob Goebel in the 64th minute. Patrick Kornmeier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddi Wering, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Fokus Cölbe's Otto Steffel got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Goebel in the 75th minute of play forced Fokus Cölbe's goalkeeper Patrick Kornmeier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Freddi Wering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, FC Hamburg's Jakob Goebel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patrick Kornmeier. Patrick Kornmeier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 83rd minute, Theo Butzer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Otto Steffel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilhelm Küpper having to interfere. Eugen Rieth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
