Jakob Goebel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddi Wering recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Azadi's zone, Jakob Goebel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elmar Blatzheim came out of the goal and Jakob Goebel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Azadi's goalkeeper Elmar Blatzheim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of FC Hamburg booed when FC Azadi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rocky Rothensteiner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elmar Blatzheim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jakob Goebel's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Freddi Wering received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Elmar Blatzheim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Freddi Wering hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddi Wering fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmar Blatzheim having to interfere. When Gaspard Das came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the FC Hamburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspard Das couldn't finish the play. Jakob Goebel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elmar Blatzheim having to make a save. Freddi Wering received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Elmar Blatzheim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jakob Goebel took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elmar Blatzheim. Elmar Blatzheim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rocky Rothensteiner was the one to do the kick off. Raiko Ullbrich hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, FC Hamburg's Jakob Goebel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elmar Blatzheim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jakob Goebel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 minutes of play, FC Azadi's Tomas Schlief made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilhelm Küpper was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rocky Rothensteiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. In the 77th match minute, FC Hamburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berti Reents to maneuver through the defense. Domian Dinar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmar Blatzheim having to interfere. In the 90th minute of the match, Domian Dinar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elmar Blatzheim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A hard shot 92 in the game by Jakob Goebel from a close distance when the talented Elmar Blatzheim managed to make a qualified save. FC Azadi's players were relieved. In the 93rd minute, Rocky Rothensteiner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilhelm Küpper was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. 96 minutes into the match, FC Hamburg's Jakob Goebel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elmar Blatzheim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Freddi Wering fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmar Blatzheim having to interfere. FC Hamburg played a much better game than FC Azadi and deserved their victory. The FC Azadi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
