St.Pauli's Ben Vogt couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Großmacht Ried e.V.. Nikolaus Latocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henk Zischer in the 19th minute. After 21 played minutes FC Großmacht Ried e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Max Herz. Nikolaus Latocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunther Strobel in the 26th minute of play. Nikolaus Latocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunther Strobel, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Denzel Belger struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Knud Ockmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Großmacht Ried e.V.. FC Großmacht Ried e.V.'s Nikolaus Latocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save FC Großmacht Ried e.V. from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC Großmacht Ried e.V.'s Fred Lettinger got a free kick in the 41st minute. After recieving a nice pass, St.Pauli's Ben Vogt tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Henk Zischer put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nikolaus Latocha. 57 minutes into the game, one of FC Großmacht Ried e.V.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After having played for 62 minutes, Fred Lettinger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Großmacht Ried e.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Lettinger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Gunther Strobel notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Großmacht Ried e.V.'s Nikolaus Latocha. Nikolaus Latocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gunther Strobel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolaus Latocha having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florian Beike got free with Knud Ockmann in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 76 minutes, Florian Beike managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Großmacht Ried e.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Beike was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henk Zischer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikolaus Latocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Nikolaus Latocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunther Strobel in the 80th minute of play. St.Pauli's Heinrich Hörner got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nikolaus Latocha came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by St.Pauli's Gunther Strobel. But to his dismay, Gunther Strobel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. FC Großmacht Ried e.V.'s Nikolaus Latocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henk Zischer in the 89th minute of play. Florian Beike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Knud Ockmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the St.Pauli players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
