But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Babel couldn't finish the play. Steffen Splett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Wayne List made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, TSV 1906 Burkartshain's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Heidkamp came free, but Jakob Madjlessi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, NienhauaC's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Babel came free, but Wayne List reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Carsten Kosian in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by TSV 1906 Burkartshain's Immanuel Koenecke. Steffen Spletts short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Wayne List to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wayne List showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Babel, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute Nils Heidkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakob Madjlessi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nils Heidkamp in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jakob Madjlessi saved TSV 1906 Burkartshain from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, NienhauaC's goalkeeper Wayne List had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steffen Splett. Wayne List showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Babel, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, TSV 1906 Burkartshain's Matthias Babel got a free kick in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to TSV 1906 Burkartshain getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gerd Drews hit a great ball. In the 66th minute Niklas Holzhäuser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakob Madjlessi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, TSV 1906 Burkartshain's Jakob Madjlessi got control of the ball when Nils Heidkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jakob Madjlessi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Holzhäuser in the 70th minute of the match. NienhauaC were furious when Roque Gorny was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Gerd Drews shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Anjo Boll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Madjlessi having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atze Ungerer got free with Jakob Madjlessi in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
