Lutz Fach succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, Kleingern's goal looked a bit too open when Otmar Weippert came free, but Berthold Banzmeier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Semjon Jahnke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igli Schlüter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oskar Sieben kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Otmar Weippert managed to get in a good position for a shot. FSV Spremberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Otmar Weippert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berthold Banzmeier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kleingern's goalkeeper Berthold Banzmeier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FSV Spremberg's Semjon Jahnke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutz Fach in the 34th minute of play. Anno Burger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Berthold Banzmeier made a huge save. Berthold Banzmeier came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by FSV Spremberg's Anno Burger. But to his dismay, Anno Burger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Igli Schlüter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FSV Spremberg's Daniel Merk got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Otmar Weippert made the kick off in the second half. Lutz Fach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oskar Sieben kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Semjon Jahnke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igli Schlüter in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igli Schlüter got free with Semjon Jahnke in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Oskar Sieben hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Igli Schlüter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kleingern fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Semjon Jahnke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lutz Fach in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute Lutz Fach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Semjon Jahnke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Kleingern booed when FSV Spremberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kornelius Spruth didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Kleingern's Semjon Jahnke threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lutz Fach, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 81 minutes into the game, Gunnar Kretz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kleingern's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FSV Spremberg the free kick. Gunnar Kretz kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Kornelius Spruth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Berthold Banzmeier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Igli Schlüter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Kleingern defense, Otmar Weippert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berthold Banzmeier. The Kleingern fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berthold Banzmeier should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FSV Spremberg fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kleingern had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
