FC Rügen 02's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Pascal Krauth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Schön read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Philipp Prause made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jürg Frosch in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Frederik Riester notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Stölln's Philipp Prause. Philipp Prause was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Jürg Frosch put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Philipp Prause. The supporters of Stölln booed when FC Rügen 02 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Bauers didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee showed Kurt Kremer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Rügen 02 getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stölln's goalkeeper Philipp Prause, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pascal Krauth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Schön having to interfere. Volkhard Burgmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Philipp Prause. Stölln's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Frederik Riester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Rügen 02's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederik Riester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stölln's Philipp Prause played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederik Riester in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th match minute, FC Rügen 02 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Kotting to maneuver through the defense. Jan Schön acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 99th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Timotheus Schüle. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stölln players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Rügen 02.
