Alfons Lücker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Spickenreither, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Emiliano Spickenreither fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bannemin's protests and gave Emiliano Spickenreither a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bannemin's Emiliano Spickenreither got a free kick in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the game, SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s Gustav Segmüller nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gerrit Zurcher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ludo Höfgen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Gustav Segmüller put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gerrit Zurcher. Gustav Segmüller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Zurcher having to interfere. Ettore Struck kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Gustav Segmüller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerrit Zurcher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Emiliano Spickenreither dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfons Lücker, 2-2. Bannemin's Gerrit Zurcher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Segmüller in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Emiliano Spickenreither recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfons Lücker. Emiliano Spickenreither showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Ludo Höfgen struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Gerrit Zurcher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.. Gustav Segmüller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerrit Zurcher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Gustav Segmüller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 47th minute, Achim Neuschwander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustav Segmüller made a kick off. Markus Bothner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Gerrit Zurcher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustav Segmüllers short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Gerrit Zurcher to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gustav Segmüller did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-3 to the left of a surprised Gerrit Zurcher 55 minutes into the match. Gustav Segmüller had several of the Bannemin's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-4 score and a disappointed Gerrit Zurcher as he didn't even see the shot coming. 67 minutes into the match, Bannemin's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Segmüller came free, but Gerrit Zurcher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustav Segmüller in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerrit Zurcher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of SV 09 Staßfurt e.V. booed when Bannemin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veit Wojewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Bannemin got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Struck. 79 minutes into the game, Gustav Segmüller recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gerrit Zurcher. Gustav Segmüller showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-5. With his leg Gerrit Zurcher managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s Gustav Segmüller fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 88th minute, Gustav Segmüller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emiliano Spickenreither sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emiliano Spickenreither received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. When Ludo Höfgen came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SV 09 Staßfurt e.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludo Höfgen couldn't finish the play. When the match was over SV 09 Staßfurt e.V. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bannemin throughout the match.
