When Berthold Coulibaly fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TSV Scheibendorf's protests and gave Berthold Coulibaly a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SV 09 Staßfurt e.V. booed when TSV Scheibendorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berthold Coulibaly didn't get a good kick on the ball. SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s Gustav Segmüller got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to TSV Scheibendorf getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Berthold Coulibaly hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hansjörg Lotze got free with Alfons Lücker in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, TSV Scheibendorf's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Segmüller came free, but Lars Oliver Bussler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustav Segmüller in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Oliver Bussler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Gustav Segmüller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lars Oliver Bussler was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. If Gustav Segmüller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustav Segmüller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lars Oliver Bussler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 48 minutes, Ludo Höfgen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludo Höfgen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The TSV Scheibendorf players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SV 09 Staßfurt e.V. were winning 0-1.

Ettore Gemke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Gustav Segmüller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lars Oliver Bussler was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 59th minute Hansjörg Lotze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Lücker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustav Segmüller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s Markus Bothner got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Gustav Segmüller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustav Segmüller in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Oliver Bussler saved TSV Scheibendorf from getting behind. In the 69th minute, Ettore Gemke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SV 09 Staßfurt e.V. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Lars Oliver Bussler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustav Segmüller's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ettore Gemke managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ettore Gemke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Oliver Bussler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SV 09 Staßfurt e.V. played a much better game than TSV Scheibendorf and deserved their victory. The TSV Scheibendorf players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
